Activities
Twice a year, there are outings of some kind -- picnics, bowling, movies, laser arcades -- which the students vote on, so that they have an opportunity to interact with one another outside of aikido class. There is also a holiday party at the end of the year. These activities, along with a program which promotes the acquisition of a martial art through nurturance rather than para-military hyper-discipline, have fostered strong and lasting friendships between students and parents alike, and have created truly alert, sensitive, empathetic, strong young people. |
