A story of impact from Paul Zimet

Meet Paul Zimet Shihan — a member at the NY Aikikai since 1971.

Paul's practice has remained challenging and fun the entire time, but he never has reached the point where he says: "I got it." There is always something to learn. The older he gets, the more the principles of aikido become apparent to him. Aikido is about moving without tension, from your center, flowing the energy outward, distance and timing. The older he gets, the stronger he gets. Aikido has challenged him, stimulated him and given him tremendous pleasure and the dojo has been a place where he has been able to continue to grow.
