Aikido for Young People

Aikido for kids teaches balance, coordination, discipline, cooperation. And it’s fun!

Our Aikido for Young People program builds strong minds and bodies. All our instructors are aikido black belts. They are experienced and caring and are devoted to helping kids build self-confidence and self-esteem through aikido, a non-competitive physical discipline.

This program was established to serve the local and greater NYC community. One low monthly fee entitles students to all available children and youth classes we offer.

Katatetori - One hand grab to wrist

Morotetori - Two hands on one

Ryotetori - Both wrists held from the front

Shomenuchi - Strike to forehead

Tsuki - Thrust or punch
